Wes Mussio

Wesley Mussio is the owner of the Rock Springs Grizzles. He has been involved in junior hockey in North America for well over a decade. Mr. Mussio owned the Delta Ice Hawks of the Pacific Junior Hockey League (PJHL) Junior A for 2 seasons before moving on to the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) Junior A for 5 seasons owning the Nanaimo Clippers. In 2023, Mr. Mussio founded the Rock Springs Grizzlies of the NCDC and has been running the team ever since.

Previously, Mr. Mussio was the President and Vice president of the Burnaby Winter Club (BWC) for 5 years. The BWC is considered one of the top minor hockey programs in North America. He ran several spring hockey programs and helped coach several teams that represented Canada on the World Stage.

In his other life, Mr. Mussio is a lawyer and managing partner at Mussio Goodman, a national law firm in Canada. He is the co-owner of Backroad Mapbooks, a national outdoor publishing company. He is also the owner of several other companies in Canada and the USA in the technology sector.

Darren Naylor

DARREN NAYLOR

Darren Naylor has over 20 years of coaching experience at the Junior A Hockey level. Most recently, serving as the Head Coach and General Manager for the Nanaimo Clippers in the BCHL, where he amassed a .665 winning percentage over several seasons. With a track record of placing hundreds of players into the NCAA, U Sports, and DIII programs, while also coaching several current NHL players. Darren is looking forward to the Grizzlies second season in the NCDC and vastly improving on and off the ice. Rock Springs has been extremely welcoming to the team, with a billet program that's top in Jr Hockey in North America. The Grizzlies are fortunate to have the Ownership of Wes and Penny Mussio who have helped hundreds of young hockey players continue their hockey playing while attaining a University degree.

Darren, has a Daughter Sarah, son Jordan, and his dog Willy. Looking forward to seeing y'all at the Grizzlies Den this season eh!

Brad Zangs

Brad has been coaching hockey for 37 years, and has been part of developing over 200 players playing Division I, with a few making it to the NHL. Last year, he helped the Ogden Mustangs win the Mountain West Championship, and were the Runners-Up at the NCDC Nationals. The Grizzlies organization is very excited to have Brad on board!

Devon Mussio

Devon Mussio

Devon Mussio brings a wealth of hockey and business knowledge to the Grizzlies program. Devon grew up in British Columbia and played in the Pacific Junior Hockey League (PJHL Junior A) for one season in 2015-2016 before moving on to the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL Junior A) where he played for 5 seasons from 2016 until 2020. During his tenure at the BCHL, he played 216 games and completed his career as the Assistant Captain of the Nanaimo Clippers, the Island Division Champions for 2019-2020. In his last year in the BCHL, he led all defenceman in scoring in the playoffs and finished eighth in scoring during the regular season for defenceman.

Jordan Naylor

Jordan Naylor is an accomplished goaltender with extensive experience in high-level hockey. Over four seasons with the BCHL’s Nanaimo Clippers, he distinguished himself by tying for 2nd all-time in single-season shutouts and achieving the 3rd best save percentage in league history. His hockey career continued at Concordia University, where he competed for four more years, further refining his skills, and deepening his understanding of goaltending at the university level. Known for his keen ability to evaluate and develop goaltender talent, Jordan brings a strategic approach to identifying strengths and areas for improvement in netminders. His deep expertise in the game positions him as a valuable asset in advancing goaltender performance.

TOM McEVAY

Tom McEvay is a Canadian, retired high school principal and has been involved in hockey his entire life.  Tom has shared his passion and knowledge on maintaining a healthy balance between hockey and education with young players, families, and coaches across the continent. Tom currently serves as the Educational Advisor for three BCHL Junior A hockey teams in Canada and has assisted hundreds of players in their pursuit of the NCAA or other college hockey programs.  He works with numerous hockey academies and has served as an Educational Consultant for BC Hockey and Hockey Canada. He is happy to assist Grizzly players whenever needed.
